Montserrat Gardó Castillo & Petr Hastik – Hypnagogic Club Session (Workshop)

With The Fall of Sleep, Montserrat Gardó Castillo and Petr Hastik premiere a poetic ritual between waking and sleeping.

In the Hypnagogic Club Session on 11.11., interested parties are invited to learn more about the concept of hypnagogy in an open workshop setting. Hypnagogia is an intermediate state between waking and sleeping, which is accompanied by sensory impressions and even vivid hallucinations and is regarded in many cultures as a gateway to increased creativity.

Part of the project is underground music legend Ted Gaier, who develops experimental soundscapes together with noise and drone music specialist Nicolás Kretz. The artistic team invites participants into a shared hypnagogic state. Soundscapes containing alpha and theta tones merge with sensual rituals such as hypnotic rocking, lullabies, whispered poetry and narratives.
