This concert series focuses on the great personalities of jazz. Together, musicians from the scene dedicate four evenings to their music, their lives and their work. The series is sponsored by the JazzStiftung München.

Miles Davis - legend of jazz

Trumpeter Claus Reichstaller, head of the Jazz Institute at the Munich University of Music, will revive the music of Miles Davis with his quintet and report on the life of the unforgotten musician with journalist Reinhold Unger. The trumpeter, composer and bandleader Miles Davis developed his very own style from bebop to cool and hard bop to fusion and jazz rock. He is still considered one of the most influential musicians in jazz history.
