Once again, Munich Rocks! at the Ampere presents Munich bands that have attracted attention for their skills and individuality. Since March 13, 2009, talented musicians from Munich and the surrounding area have been taking the microphone here and regularly confirming to a full house that the local music scene has many musical facets and great potential to offer!

Stand Up Drive
Band founder Stefan Deimel has both feet in the mire of punk, grunge and riff-dominated soundscapes. On "Labyrinth", Stand Up Drive speaks the language of the street and loneliness, a raw and unfiltered voice that rebels against exploitation and the monotony of everyday life. The EP? A kick in the ass, out of the lethargy. Loud, raw and ideal for a speedy ride to nowhere. The band demands an attitude. Can a few have a lot and many have little? Is there a way out of the grind of everyday life? Should everything stay as it is? The band leaves status quo advocates in the dust and provides an answer: change track.

Grace Nelly about Grace Nelly: "Music is my first love - it has been with me like a second language for as long as I can remember. What began as a natural fascination developed into a clear vision: I don't just want to make music, I want to live it! My style is multi-faceted and reflects my diverse influences. Drum 'n' bass, pop, RnB, jazz and hip-hop characterize my sound, but from metal to electronic music, almost every genre inspires me. Kaytranada, Piri & Tommy, Frank Ocean, Allen Stone, H.E.R. and Mac Miller have particularly influenced me... Whether jazz standards, covers or my own songs, there is nothing more fulfilling for me than playing live and sharing this energy with the audience. Sham
Schein is a funk-rock band from Freising near Munich. Founded in 1999, characterized by brass power, a driving rhythm section and German lyrics between energy, attitude and a wink. Over 300 concerts at home and abroad, "Munich Band of the Year", Austrian Newcomer Award - and above all: a band whose focus has always been the stage. For Schein, funk doesn't mean disco glitz, but sweat, pressure and live moments. After a 14-year break, the band is back. Schein sound like funk rock with sand in their shoes and sun on their foreheads: driving bass, bone-dry guitar, horns that push more than they decorate. The vocals are direct, straightforward, sometimes almost spoken. Between chanting and chorus: direct, pointed, German - always danceable, always shake ya booty! What makes Schein really special is the energy of their concerts: You want to dance? Come to Schein!
