»Nach der Bahn die Wende« Eine audiovisuelle Performance von STUDIO URBANISTAN

A warm summer evening in an outdoor pool: it smells of chlorine, chips and sun cream; children run through the scene screaming, pensioners sunbathe on warm stone slabs, swimmers do their laps. Between the slide, sunbathing lawn and kiosk, society meets here in the pool - the same picture in Leipzig or Bremen, Stuttgart or Erfurt. A good place to ask about personal stories of German-German identity. How do we talk about "East" and "West" at the edge of the pool?

With the audiovisual performance "Nach der Bahn die Wende", STUDIO URBANISTAN invites you to the summer sociotope of the outdoor pool. Equipped with headphones, we dive deep into the social pool and explore the subtle differences. Who emerges? Who goes under? And can you learn to swim alone? A performance about formative origins, about boundaries in the mind and their blurring. Now you have to jump!

About the performers:

STUDIO URBANISTAN is a label for performative incidents in urban space. At the intersection of built realities and hidden themes, STUDIO URBANISTAN creates new spaces of experience and encounter between everyday life and fiction that suspend the rules and conventions of contested territories. Individual stories and personal voices of the urban space are an important part of the projects, which are realized with performers and the local population.

As an alternative to the minimum passage width in front of the ticket office (119 cm), there is a gate (width: 138 cm). This is located two meters from the main entrance and is clearly visible from the ticket office.

The toilets are largely barrier-free.
