The Schlicktown Crew are the groovy tsunami formation from the North Sea coast, who conjure up a smile on your face, a warm feeling of happiness in your stomach and an irrepressible desire to dance in your legs with their sophisticated vocabulary and danceable sound.

With an eleven-piece band, they celebrate a festival of hip-hop culture in which music, dance and their energetic show merge into an intense performance.

Originating as the studio project of a German rap duo, the Schlicktown Crew has evolved over the years since it was founded in 2011 into a fat soul combo with a powerful brass section and punchy rhythm section. The members come from Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg and Cologne. The crew means checked-out German lyrics with a sense of humor, sexy brass, crisp drums

drums, a bass to fall in love with and hot synths and guitars. The two front men and their singer give the band voice, content and the necessary amount of amore.

For their handmade sound, the band draws from wherever people dance: Funk, soul, disco, reggae - and is reminiscent of the feel of Fettes Brot, Fanta4 or the

Beginners. Their content and musical aspirations are more than just a casual hip-hop head-nod on four counts. In their songs, the Schlicktown Crew tell stories on a tight sound
