Affordable public transport for all - sounds good, but how does it actually work? The discussion about the €58 ticket, zero fare models and affordable mobility is moving between financing, infrastructure and political goals. In this panel discussion, decision-makers from transport companies, politics and administration will come together to discuss key questions relating to the mobility transition: Who pays for cheap tickets? What are the real benefits of free services? And how can public transport systems remain efficient?
Together with the audience, opportunities, conflicting goals and new ways of fair, sustainable and practicable local transport financing will be examined. A discussion with practical relevance, a variety of opinions and a clear view of the reality of local public transport.
