Their music, like a body, is always in motion, experiencing analog and digital, organic and mechanical states. After the two EPs Apron Ties and Water On The Sun, Namaka released their first album in November 2021: Restore. Created in an emotional time, it transforms vulnerability into sound experiments.

In September 2025, Namaka released their second album Cloudspotting. Written, produced and recorded by Philipp and Sophie. Between Zurich and Brussels, tape recorder and laptop. Inspired by Nabihah Iqbal, Tirzah, Mica Levi and Eliot Smith. Cloudspotting takes an unagitated tour through Namaka's sonic playground. Electric bass melodies lead effortlessly into ambient episodes. Synthesizers meander lazily over drums that sound like they were recorded in a stalactite cave. The vocals, both sung and spoken, spread carefree over the music. Deeply honest, intimate and haunting.

Cloudspotting is lying on your back, in the grass, on the warm canopy and letting your mind wander, drifting along with the clouds. Learning to turn off the social noise level that numbs us with expectations, demands and excessive requirements. Instead, this album invites you to daydream - an activity that has an unjustly bad reputation - and provides the soundtrack for the cool walk to self-empowerment.
