Lecture by Gerald Klamer
Namibia is very popular with travelers. The most beautiful country in Africa is usually explored by off-road vehicle. But can the arid expanses also be explored on foot?
Globally experienced adventurer and author Gerald Klamer takes up the challenge. He first undertakes shorter tours in the Namib, the Naukluft Mountains and the Kuiseb Canyon before venturing on a thousand-kilometre route across the whole of northern Namibia. From the Brandberg, the country's highest mountain, to the Kunene, the river on the Angolan border, he runs through the wild country. Along the way, he encounters numerous wild animals such as desert elephants and meets Himba nomads who roam the remote Kaokoveld with their cattle. Let Gerald take you on this fantastic adventure!
Gerald Klamer is an experienced adventure hiker who has undertaken numerous tours, some lasting months, on six continents. He became known for his projects in the forests of Germany and the Carpathians, about which he has written two books and has been featured in numerous media, including the Globetrotter Podcast "Rausgehört".
