Natalia Rose Quartett

The band is a contemporary jazz quartet led by guitarist Natalia Rose from Colombia. With a mixture of jazz harmonies, melancholic sounds and traditional Colombian rhythms, their music tries to create an extra-musical image in the listener's mind.

The group Natalia Rose was formed in September 2016 and recorded their first album at the end of that year entitled "Retratos de un Juego de Sombras" (Portraits of a Game of Shadows ) and was released in April 2017. This album is inspired by some photographs by Colombian photographer Camila Malaver that show the daily life of the communities in Barranco de Loba, Bolivar, Colombia.

Full of textures, colors and nature translated into music, Natalia Rose tries to describe her country Colombia. Stories, experiences and landscapes merge into a warm or explosive sound construct.

When composing her music, Natalia Rose uses images, landscapes but also states of mind to translate a sensation, a character or an object into music, thus attempting to create an imaginary musical journey for the listener.
