The Neckar nature experience combines leisurely paddling with exciting knowledge about nature. Start at the canoe station in Ludwigsburg and paddle to the unique Neckar biotope Zugwiesen, a showcase project of modern river design. Flood protection, shipping traffic and nature conservation come together here in an impressive way. A 1.5-hour ecology tour awaits you there with a certified nature and landscape guide from the Neckarguides, who have been trained by the Baden-Württemberg Academy for Nature and Environmental Protection. There are also events on special topics. Together with our wildlife biologist Sabrina, you can explore special animals such as beavers and dragonflies or visit the lock.

On the way to the Zugwiesen Neckar biotope, you will glide past steep vineyards and fascinating bird and animal life. In the Zugwiesen biotope, you can immerse yourself in the secrets of the renaturalized section of the river. Experience for yourself how the nature of the Neckar was able to recover there. Find out how the original river landscape was restored, what ecological relationships characterize it and which plant and animal species have found a new habitat there.
