NAYLA YENQUIS GROUP

The Nayla Yenquis Group is an intern. Band with a repertoire focused on Brazilian Jazz, also known as Música Popular Brasileira (MPB). This style of music combines traditional rhythms such as samba and bossa nova with jazz harmonies and improvisations. MPB emerged in the 1960s alongside the Tropicália movement and is characterized by its innovative approach and rich musicality. The group moves effortlessly through classic Brazilian rhythms such as bossa nova, samba and partido alto, blending them with modern influences full of groove drawn from funk, contemporary jazz and other international styles. Their repertoire includes updated versions of Brazilian classics performed with a distinctive identity and contemporary approach.
