Negah Amiri - Mein bestes Ich

Almost half a million followers on Instagram and TikTok, her own formats on television, the German Comedy Award for Best Newcomer, a podcast and appearances in front of thousands of people such as at 1LIVE Comedy-Nacht XXL - Negah Amiri is one of the most sought-after high-flyers on the German comedy scene.

But what sounds like a picture-book career start was actually hard work. When she fled from Iran to Germany 20 years ago, the omens were anything but rosy. She ended up at a secondary school in Wiesbaden, where she was teased because of her first name. But Negah didn't let it get her down, worked harder than others, graduated from high school and went on to study applied media. A short time later, she was hosting her own radio shows.

At the same time, she began posting comedy content online, which quickly reached a large audience. Encouraged by the many positive reactions, she worked on her gags and got them ready for the stage. Since then, Negah has been traveling all over Germany as a stand-up comedienne, presenting not only entertainment, but also attitude issues such as human rights in Iran and equal rights for women worldwide. She also appears on all the big TV comedy shows such as "Die besten Comedians Deutschlands" and "ZDF Comedy Sommer".
