Nepumuk makes amusingly thoughtful rap, peppered with laissez-faire wisdom, personal moments and social criticism. Wit, mercilessness and witty wordplay come together on instrumentals infused with unfamiliar jazz and funk samples. On his latest album "Wir haben kein Plan B aber ein Traum A", phenomena such as emotionless career men, the miserable patriarchy or the escape into doom-scrolling commentary columns are critically and humorously addressed. Without lacking his own attitude, Nepumuk invites people to engage in a dialog with his thoughts and often leaves the sovereignty of interpretation to the recipients, because, as we all know, the customer is queen. Whether as a duo with DJ Stelze or on his own - Nepumuk is even more fun live, because the loops are even louder then.
