We explore the buzzing, whirring and buzzing of summer - now is the wedding season for many fascinating insects! The AGARD team provides vivid information about insect life: What strategies are there to combat the heat? Why is a flowering meadow orchard a land of milk and honey for the little creatures? Of course, we also keep an eye on the other animals and plants in their summer dress on the nature conservation island.

The AGARD Nature Conservation House has been enriching Westfalenpark Dortmund with its diverse ecological themes since 1991. Join us on a walk around the sustainably constructed building and discover the numerous exciting biotopes on the nature conservation island. Whether on the orchard meadow, at the lizard habitat, amphibian pond, in the woodland or educational garden with the plant purification plant - you will discover animals and plants everywhere in the most untouched nature possible. The manager of the AGARD Nature Conservation House shares her knowledge of the small and large wonders of this natural oasis with you - competently, practically and in all seasons.
