Green Day, Blink-182, Billy Talent - who doesn't long for the pre-internet apocalypse era filled with skaters in striped shirts? Even if most of us never went to high school and never went through a teen love story quite as cinematic, the checkered Vans fishnet stocking self is deep inside us.

These three bands take us back to the picture book 2000s and yet their music is right in the middle of now: Apart From Us from Frankfurt, Attic Stories from Karlsruhe and the newly (re)founded Nevver deliver exactly this emotional and energetic sound that is so much fun to hear live.
