Democracy education in the heart of Bremen's city center: on this new city tour, a tour guide takes you along Bremen's places of democracy to the plenary chamber of the Bremen Parliament. Participants are invited to join in and have their say.

Since the rise of extreme parties in Germany and abroad, there has been a growing debate in politics and society about basic democratic values and the democratic system. StattReisen Bremen has designed this new city tour, which focuses on the development and design of the democratic system in Bremen. The tour conveys an understanding of what democracy actually means, that countless people have campaigned for it and that it took long discussions and processes for today's political system to become established.

The last stop takes you into the heart of a democratic site: the Bremen Parliament opens the doors of the plenary chamber, the state parliament of the federal state of Bremen, for the StattReisen Bremen tour.
