Nick & June glide through a shimmering haze of reverb-soaked guitars, vibrating synthesizers and gently pulsating beats and drums. Their voices blend into a hypnotic melange, guiding the listener through a delicate balance of euphorically staged restraint and spun ramifications of thought. Their sound is an eclectic fusion of melancholic indie folk reminiscent of Bon Iver, Velvet Underground and Sharon Van Etten, combined with the dream pop of Beach House and Lana Del Rey and the alternative rock sounds of The National, St. Vincent and Mazzy Star.

In the USA, they worked with Grammy-winning producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon Van Etten) and refined their unique sound - a mixture of cinematic expansiveness and intimate lo-fi textures. The result is an album that wanders between open horizons while retaining a fragile, warm closeness.

The songs unfold like Polaroids of inner landscapes - as a meditation on resilience, transformation and the bittersweet beauty of farewell and departure. For Nick & June, it is both a personal magnum opus - and the beginning of a new era.

"New Year's Face" features numerous companions, friends and idols from the international indie cosmos, including The Antlers, Russian Red, Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Thomas Bartlett (Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent) and Kyle Resnick and Ben Lanz from The National.

Following the worldwide success of their EP "Beach Baby, Baby" from 2023, 30 million streams, acclaimed press and radio coverage and sold-out concerts, the duo has established itself as a permanent fixture in the indie landscape. With their new album "New Year's Face" in their luggage, Nick & June are going on a big tour in 2026 - through concert halls, clubs and the glowing nights of the cities. A tour like a new beginning: melancholic, dreamy, full of brilliance and stories.
