Folk music grooves. It really does. You just have to keep your ears open, beyond the romanticism of the barn and the traditionalist corset, and you will inevitably come across the Niederbayerischer Musikantenstammtisch. This group of young musicians has been on the road since 2003. The Stammtisch plays folk music in the Silbersaal and has fun seeking out people who have never had anything to do with folk music - until now.

From Landler to Zweifache

Originally, the Niederbayerische Musikantenstammtisch is exactly what it sounds like. Namely a loose collective of young people who have come together to make music. Applied folk music in the very best sense of the word, both traditional and original. It makes ears prick up and hearts and legs jump. The musicians have taken a liking to dances: country dances, Scottish dances, turners and - of course - the most beautiful Zwiefaches up and down the country. Always without sheet music, just by ear. And best of all: they sing too!

Folk dance for everyone

Folk music as casual avant-garde? Quite possible, if you observe how the old East Bavarian sounds get into the limbs of even the most serene city audience. Whether waltz, polka, Zwiefache or Boarische. With professional instruction on site, all participants will have become happy and ardent folk dancers by the end of this regulars' table evening at the latest.
