On Saturday, November 29, 2025, pianist Nikolai Denisov invites you to a special chamber concert for young and old in the Chamber Music Hall of the Steingraeber Haus. Under the motto "Around the world with my piano", the artist embarks on a fascinating musical journey through the ages and invites his audience to accompany him.

The varied program begins with baroque elegance: the evening opens with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel. This is followed by sensitive arrangements of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart by Franz Liszt, colorful pieces by Domenico Scarlatti and Jean-Philippe Rameau and impressionistic timbres by Claude Debussy. Three enchanting children's pieces by Sergei Prokofiev, Béla Bartók and Rodion Shchedrin form the atmospheric finale. In between, well-known Christmas carols will be played to get you in the mood for the festive season.

Nikolai Denisov received his first training at the renowned Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow. His search for personal expression and a musical home led him to Germany, where he studied at the Alfred Schnittke Academy International Hamburg and the Rostock University of Music and Drama. As a qualified concert pianist, Nikolai Denisov is now active in many roles: as a soloist, chamber musician, song accompanist, accompanist and piano teacher.

Since 2018, he has been a scholarship holder of the Jehudi Menuhin "Live Music Now" association in Rostock, which has enabled him to expand his repertoire beyond classical music to include works from film, pop, jazz and contemporary compositions. In 2019, Nikolai Denisov and his fellow students were awarded the "HMT INTERDISCIPLINARY" prize.

Nikolai Denisov knows how to make his playing colorful, expressive and with a great sense of atmosphere. His music should not only be heard, but experienced - with all the senses and in harmony with the sense of time of a cross-generational audience. Families are expressly welcome!
