To mark his 70th birthday in 2026, Nils Landgren is celebrating this special milestone with a series of selected concerts at the JazzHall. On 16 February, the exceptional Swedish trombonist invites you to a top-class quartet evening that combines musical depth, virtuosity and decades of stage experience. Nils Landgren is considered one of the defining personalities of European jazz. With his unmistakable sound, great stylistic openness and charismatic stage presence, he has inspired generations of musicians and listeners - whether in jazz, funk, soul or pop. Joel Lyssardies plays alongside him on the piano, a sensitive yet powerful performer who impresses with his clear sound and keen sense of interaction. Lars Danielsson, one of Europe's most renowned bassists, stands for lyrical lines, harmonic depth and compositional elegance. The quartet is completed by Robert Ikiz on drums, whose energetic yet nuanced playing combines groove, dynamics and tonal diversity. Together, this extraordinary line-up promises a concert evening full of musical dialog, emotional intensity and masterful jazz artistry.
