Noah Derksen - honored as Emerging Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and a finalist on SiriusXM's Top of the Country - is considered one of folk music's most exciting new voices. Hailing from the vastness of the Canadian prairies, he has honed his craft on countless stages across North America and Europe. His warm, soulful voice combines with profound poetry to create songs that sound instantly familiar - like old friends on first hearing.

In February 2025, Symphonic will release his new album stolen serenades: a collection of seven cover songs that have shaped Noah's musical career. "When I was 19, I saw Leonard Cohen's last concert in Winnipeg. That's when I realized how much power words have - regardless of the voice that carries them. That was the beginning of my journey as a songwriter," says Noah. With stolen serenades, he pays tribute to the songs that have accompanied and inspired him - as a child, as a musician, as a person.

And by the way: Noah has long, auburn hair and a twinkle in his eye that instantly wins over any audience.
