»NSU 2.0« von Nuran David Calis

Not fiction, but reality: on August 2, 2018, Frankfurt lawyer Seda Başay-Yıldız receives a death threat. With the signature "NSU 2.0", the authors refer to the "National Socialist Underground" group, whose terror claimed the lives of at least ten people between 2000 and 2007. The search for the origin of the letter leads to a computer in Frankfurt's police station 1 and to a chat group among police officers in which swastikas and Jewish jokes are exchanged. The longer the investigation goes on, the clearer it becomes that the authority that is supposed to protect citizens like Başay-Yıldız from terror and extremism has a massive problem with right-wing extremists in its own ranks. How far do right-wing extremist networks reach in our city? And what does this mean for politicians, citizens and those affected?
