[Off-ICMC] Stelzenperformance: Insect-o-lectic

A buzzing beetle performance on stilts

A mixture of stilt dancing, body percussion and completely new sound technology - that's insect-o-lectic. The street performance group Oakleaf Streetshow is coming to Harburg city center with an interactive walk act. On stilts, bizarre, colorful creatures buzz through Hölertwiete and Lüneburger Straße. Not only do they look like beetles, they also sound like them. A stilt performance that creates its own sounds and melodies and produces lots of fun in the process. To amaze, laugh and join in.

An experiment by the stilt show group Oakleaf Streetshow in collaboration with the artists Joana Welteke and Keo Hundius in which large costumes, stilts, body percussion and sound installations form a daring alliance.

About Oakleaf Streetshow

Oakleaf Streetshow is a performance group from the Hamburg area. Since 2010, they have been developing imaginative street performances with extraordinary costumes and energetic choreographies - sometimes on stilts, sometimes on the ground, sometimes as interactive installations.

All costumes and technical show elements are developed and produced in her own workshop: From artfully sewn, inflatable and glowing figures to sophisticated LED and sound controls, welded aluminum constructions and self-built stilts. Oakleaf stands for poetic images, playful actions and moments of amazement and participation.
