[Off-ICMC] Workshop: Musik ganz ohne Berührung – Bau dein eigenes Theremin!

In the organizer's words:

Without keys, strings or even touch - the theremin is one of the oldest electronic musical instruments and is played solely by hand movements in the air. In this workshop, you have the opportunity to build your own theremin from electronic components. You can then give it your own personal touch by painting it so that it becomes your very own instrument, not only in terms of sound but also visually.

About Luka Đorđević

Since my interest in electronics was sparked at a young age, I have developed a passion for not only educating myself, but also teaching electronics to people of all ages. This led me to take my first jobs in this field: as an electronics teacher for children from 6 years of age at the "Little School of Electronics", as a research assistant at the Petnica Science Center, where I prepared lectures and materials for seminars for young people, and as a student assistant at the "WorkING Lab" at the Hamburg University of Technology, where I still conduct soldering courses for students of all semesters.

About the ICMC & Off-ICMC

The International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) is coming to Hamburg-Harburg. Every year for over 50 years, artists, musicians and scientists from all over the world have come together at the ICMC to explore the interplay between music and digital technologies. The Off-ICMC will take place from 11 to 16 May 2026: the free accompanying program on the topic of "Music in our digital age".

Selected concerts and lectures of the conference are also open to the public!
