Discover 250,000 years of human history in one place!

Join us on an exciting tour through the permanent exhibition and immerse yourself in the world of the past. In a recreated excavation landscape, you will follow in the footsteps of the people of Westphalia: Who lived here in the Stone Age? How did people defy the world power Rome? When did Charlemagne bring Christianity to the region and how did life develop in castles and courts? The trail takes you into the recent past to where bomb rubble tells of the horrors of war.

A ticket is required to participate. We recommend booking early as places are limited.

Price information:

Adults pay 7.00 euros, adults in groups of 16 or more pay 6.00 euros, concession holders* pay 3.50 euros. Children and young people up to the age of 17 have free admission. In addition, there is a participation fee of 2.00 euros for the guided tour for everyone aged 18 and over. Two tickets are required for participation in the museum's ticket store: an admission ticket for the permanent exhibition and a ticket for the public guided tour on the desired date. Tickets are available in our ticket store (see link). *Eligible for a discount are "recipients of current benefits according to the Social Security Codes II and XII", students (up to the age of 30), trainees, those doing federal voluntary service, members of the voluntary social and ecological year, severely disabled people with a degree of disability of 50% or more (if necessary - accompanying person free of charge with proof). Participation in "Studieren im Alter", "Seniorenstudium" or similar programs does not entitle you to a discount.
