Without bosses" is intended to inspire a different, more collaborative way of doing business and show examples of how it works.
A job without a boss? "In this economic situation?" - For many people, this sounds like pure utopia. But at the heart of our market system, which is based on profit maximization and hierarchy, there is already another reality that is based on solidarity and ethical principles: Collective enterprises that fight every day for a better "right in the wrong".
"Without bosses" accompanies people who prove a seemingly impossible point: Yes, a company can function without bosses. They show that a radically different path is possible, in which democracy does not end at the executive floor.
In so-called collective enterprises, cooperatives and self-managed companies, we discover an alternative to the "mini-dictatorship" of traditional companies. We meet ordinary people who take their working lives into their own hands - not irradiated utopians or revolutionaries, but practitioners of a modern, sustainable form of economy.
The film shows the daily struggle of these businesses, which exist like islands in a sea of capitalism. Here, solidarity, communal management and mutual help are an important matter of course. We see people who dedicate their lives to the vision of a better future and stand together against exploitation and dehumanization in the world of work.
Instead of complaining that "nobody wants to work anymore", the film "Without Bosses" shows that collective enterprises can be the key to the future of our work and economy. An alternative that is more than just a daring experiment.
Stories that encourage us to leave the old ways behind and forge new paths together - not as theory, but as lived practice.
