OLGA BLANK: auffällig unauffällig - interdisziplinäre Performance

In an interdisciplinary performance, Olga Blank questions her memories of arriving in Germany: the first yoghurt, bulky waste furniture in the makeshift apartment and the pop song "all that she wants" blaring from the radio. In an interplay of dance, object play and language, the Kazakhstan-German artist illuminates the reality of life of a generation that has come with them and the complex relationship between cultural heritage and belonging in the post-East community - a touching examination of post-migrant identity and memory.

Olga Blank is a performer, puppeteer and choreographer at the interface of dance, drama and performance. Born in Kazakhstan and raised in Germany, in "auffällig unauffällig" she processes her many years of research work in a post-migrant context.
As a performer, she has worked with the Figurentheater Fithe, Compound Company, Duda Paiva Company and the waltraud900 collective. She has choreographed for the Schrit_tmacher GENERATION2 Festival and the Landesbühne Nord in Wilhelmshaven, among others. She has been a board member, choreographer and performer for the dance network ARTbewegt since 2018.
