What a turbulent year. After 24 years as Tequila & the Sunrise Gang, the seven Kielers are opening a new chapter in 2025: From now on they are ON! and their new musical direction in punk/rock/indie is now also presented with German lyrics. The first singles "Alles auf Neu" and "Leere Worte" and an intensive summer of festivals were also released. So there's a lot going on with the guys and time for a familiar tradition: the end of the year at the Pumpe in Kiel.
"ON! is more than just a new name - it's an announcement and a new energy," says René Unger, the band's singer. "And even though a lot is changing, our old songs and traditions will of course remain. And of course we're particularly looking forward to the one at the end of the year," Unger continues.
So don't worry: ON! will remain true to their roots and the old songs such as "My Dear My Darling", "Campfire Light" or "Keep Me Arrested" will of course not be missing at the end of the year.
Due to the high demand, the Kieler Pumpe will be transformed into a Christmas sauna two evenings in a row this year on December 20 and 21.
