OPENAIR am ROODY mit Lisette Lowe, COVVES & Peli Gene

It's the hottest summer, the city is sweltering - now the only thing that helps (for this moment anyway) is to accept the sweating and listen to cooling music.innen.außen.raum has been looking for new places and music for Munich for 15 years on DIY and non-profit. And the perfect shady spot in the open air for this concert evening is Roody - a musical oasis (almost) under the highway. With dreampop, shoegaze, (chill) wave and wave chill from the USA and Munich. Of course, there will also be cold drinks, cool decorations and lighting, plus an after-show party. It'll be like an umbrella in a cocktail - and cool synth wraps around your bare ankles.

Peli Gene (Tampa, USA // Dreampop)

Peli Gene is coming to Germany from the USA for two concerts - one of which is this one. "Peli Gene's Dream Estate" is the name of his latest album. And judging by the sound, there is plenty of sunshine, hammocks and time to experiment with synth and guitar effects and melancholy hidden behind the hook. This music is defiantly optimistic, fast enough to take a few dance steps in the evening breeze - and so beautifully rooted in the lo-fi of the 10s that Alvvays, Beach House, Swiss Portrait or The Pains of Being Pure At Heart throw frisbees across the garden in your mind's eye. East Coast or Scandi Coast? Something of its own. Worth a sigh of relief in this weather.

COVVES (Munich // Indie & Shoegaze)

COVVES are the ever-changing band: after a few amazing molts, they have now released an EP with 80s, shoegaze and post-punk vibes; learned to play twilight states on stage (from "evening" to "morning") and collected a few 100,000 views on YouTube. In the summer of 2025, COVVES have rasping shoegaze guitars, a cool 80s vibe in the synths, catchy tunes and a few big questions in the lyrics. And the next new songs are already waiting in the wings. The perfect sound for the moment when the streetlights come on at Giesinger Berg.

Lisette Lowe (Munich/Maastricht // Ambient & Post-Rock)

Watching clouds or stars in the open air is also one of the relaxed privileges of summer. Lisette Lowe has wonderful soundtracks for this - her songs have plenty of time and feel like they have even more space. It could even be an attempt to measure the edges of the sky with voice and guitar. Lisette Lowe started out as a songwriter in Maastricht. But a few (Australian and Munich) years later, her music has grown considerably: post-rock would be one association with the new album "Grief To Light", slowcore or ambient another. But they don't actually need a genre label - a looper, guitar and voice are all they need....

plus an after-show party with innen.außen.raums DJ Naumative - this time with shoegaze, dreampop and waves of all shades.
