Ludwig Kuffer began his artistic training in 2012 at the Folkwang University of the Arts, then went to the HBK Hamburg and completed his studies in fine arts in the class of Peter Piller at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 2023. Kuffer is intensively involved with photography, in particular the optical-physical fundamentals of photographic techniques. Kuffer is currently a lecturer in photography at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.

Max Beck also studied photography at the Folkwang University of the Arts, but also studied photography, art history and philosophy there and at the University of Cologne. His work has been shown primarily in exhibitions in the Rhineland and Ruhr region, as well as in Seoul (South Korea) in 2016 and Mainz in 2018. In his photographic works, Beck plays with different levels of legibility; the decoding of signs often appears to take priority, while at the same time it runs into emptiness in the context of the overall impression of the image.
