ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK
With over 40 million records sold and a career spanning more than four decades, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are among the defining pioneers of synthpop. In summer 2026, the British band will return to Germany for eight major open-air concerts with OMD's Summer of Hits. The tour will take them to Hanau, Stuttgart, Bonn, Bremen, Schwerin, Berlin, Halle (Saale) and Dresden - with a program that celebrates their greatest classics as well as their current work.
Since their formation in 1978 in Wirral, England, OMD have combined experimental electronics with catchy pop melodies - a mixture that has led them to worldwide success with songs such as Enola Gay, Souvenir, Maid of Orleans and If You Leave. The acclaimed studio album Bauhaus Staircase (2023), which is considered their most political work to date, was followed in 2024 by a sold-out UK tour with a finale at London's O2 Arena and acclaimed performances in the USA.
OMD stand for unmistakable synthesizer sounds, energetic performances and a timeless style that connects generations - an invitation to spend the summer of 2026 dancing.
