Lecture by Julia Finkernagel
What does Georgian hospitality mean for the liver? What is it like to almost be run over by Peter Maffay in Romania, or to camp with a terrifying Cossack in the Caucasus?
Travel journalist Julia Finkernagel, known from the successful reportage series OSTWÄRTS, talks about her mostly unplanned encounters during filming. She brings along film clips, shows pictures and reads passages from her Spiegel bestseller "Ostwärts - oder wie man mit den Händen Suppe isst, ohne sich nachher umziehen zu müssen".
She reports wittily and wittily about the smaller (and larger) disasters on tour and gives insights behind the scenes of the filming. She explains what the nomadic woman in the yurt has to do before dawn and why it is helpful not to complain about it. Not only the farewell gift from the nomads, who wanted to give Julia a goat's head as a sign of friendship, is unforgettable, but also many other funny situations that (for reasons) didn't make it onto television.
Of course, Julia Finkernagel also signs books. Her third book "Reisefieber" was recently published.
