Racism in Germany is deeply rooted. In their books, authors Asal Dardan and Mohamed Amjahid impressively demonstrate just how deep.

In "Traumaland" (Rowohlt, 2025),Asal Dardan creates a new topography of Germany, goes in search of clues and provides insights into parallel and contrasting experiences in the immigration society.

Mohamed Amjahid explores the system in "Alles nur Einzefälle?" (Piper, 2024), Mohamed Amjahid explores the system behind racist police violence and shows how this system is maintained - from the cover-up of abuse of power to NSU 2.0.

In this special edition of OUT LOUD meets globale°, the two authors take a look at the German present that eludes the desired discourse of mainstream society: How does Germany deal with marginalized groups? Where can patterns of violence be identified and to what extent does this type of exercise of power have a tradition? And what does this mean for our political present?
As always at OUT LOUD, the audience is also an active part of the event and can join in the discussion live via smartphone, ask questions and give feedback.
