Slow Club Freiburg presents: OvO + Putan Club

OvO
has always been one of the most active bands in the global noisy rock scene.
What they do, however, is not easy to categorize:
It's neither noise, nor metal, nor doom, nor punk, nor rock 'n' roll, even if there's a bit of all of these.
The massive use of electronics even gives them an industrial touch.

The Italian duo consists of a somewhat obsessive singer and guitarist (Stefania Pedretti) and a huge drummer who plays a mini-set as if it were a complete metal drum kit (Bruno Dorella).

Musically raised in Milan in the late 1990s, they made their first international contacts by organizing concerts in squats and moving to Berlin between 2006 and 2011.

Their live performances are legendary: more than 1000 concerts all over the world with extensive tours in Europe, North America, Mexico and Asia, including many of the most important festivals, including
Roadburn and Le Guess Who? in the Netherlands, Wire Festival in Chicago, FIMAV in Canada, Supersonic and Desertfest in England, Amplifest in Portugal, Inferno in Norway, Mystic in Poland, Santarcangelo, Krakatoa and Frantic in Italy, Groland and Sonic Protest in France and Tomorrow Festival in China.

OvO announce their new album "Gemma", a work of electro-metal art, which will be released on October 3, 2025 via Artoffact Records, and release the singles "Opale feat. Lord Spikeheart", "Stagno" and "Cobalto".

The eleventh studio album, with which they celebrate their 25th anniversary, is a manifesto of transformation.
Each track like an act of creation, an alchemical passage through the elements towards a form of new strange life that blossoms, explodes and changes.

It is a dance of exploration between human nature, matter and the mystery of existence; just as the beauty of existence lies in its continuous evolution, the beauty of OvO lies in its ability to endlessly renew itself.

Putan Club

This French-Italian duo forges what's happening in their heads: from rock to techno, from jazz to avant-punk and world music, in a viral and very infectious experience.

The clang and grind of industrial, the forward-thinking vision of post-punk and a powerful groove of death disco that fades into primal funk.
You can't just listen to the Putan Club:
You have to visit it.

It sees itself as a resistance cell characterized by an approach (powerful actions in different places) that is very close to the first plans of the European partisans during the last world war and today to their opponents from all over the world.

Transgenres: avant-rock, world music, techno, flamenco, metal, Olivier Messiaen, Keiji Haino or Jennifer Lopez.
And a slap in the face to modern music and its industry.
The Putan Club is not a band, but a test bed.

Their new album "Filles d'Octobre" was released in March 2025 on Toten Schwan Records.
A limited edition: 3000 copies, as double vinyl and CD.
There will never be a reprint.
Because their lives take place elsewhere than in the music industry.

The Putan Club does not belong to any particular musical genre (rock, techno, jazz, avant-garde, punk, ethno or whatever), but claims the right to be all of these and much more.

From Laâyoune to Beijing, Putan Club regularly collaborate with other demons such as Lydia Lunch, Eugene S. Robinson, Lotfi Bouchnak, Denis Lavant and other shamans and master healers from Asia and Africa.
