"Perceiving Proximity" is an improvisation-based piece that unfolds within the fragile space between recognition and estrangement. Two presences drift through distances that contract and expand, sensing what lies just beyond clarity. What appears close slips away; what feels far reveals an unexpected intimacy. The work breathes through tension, between knowing and not knowing, reaching and retreating, tracing the invisible threshold where perception wavers and transforms. It is less about what we see, and more about what remains, the silent pulse between two bodies, the subtle vibration of what cannot be named but is undeniably felt."

Anita Depaoli is a contemporary dancer and choreographer from Italy, living in Berlin. Guided by a deep curiosity for how movement holds thought and emotion, she explores the body as a site of perception. Through attentive exploration, she shapes a language of textures and impulses, tracing what lies between awareness and becoming.
