For 20 years, pianist Pablo Held, bassist Robert Landfermann and drummer Jonas Burgwinkel have formed a well-rehearsed unit. Their intuitive, flowing interplay is widely admired - they understand each other blindly.
Now the trio is celebrating its anniversary together with a special guest: Chris Potter, one of the most important saxophonists of his generation. With his inexhaustible creativity and warm, characteristic tone, he is regarded as a role model for many young musicians.
Pablo Held gained international attention with the album The Trio Meets John Scofield, released in 2015. Guitar legend John Scofield was impressed by the trio's playing - as were jazz greats Wayne Shorter and Ralph Towner. The German pianist has long been one of the most influential personalities in modern jazz. He has also made a name for himself with his podcast Pablo Held Investigates, in which he has interviewed numerous big names in the music scene.
