Pascal Finkenauer

Singer, musician and lyricist Pascal Finkenauer has been inspiring audiences for years with his musically multi-layered albums and EPs. Always eloquent, sometimes gentle, sometimes raspy - as a solo artist on the guitar or accompanied by his band "Das Licht". He releases through his own label. His music emerges uncensored in a creative flow, just like Pascal Finkenauer.

According to the press, his music is punk-chanson, beatnik-rock'n'roll, singer-songwriter-wave. His repertoire also includes the offbeat, with which he defies the mainstream, despite his recurring penchant for great melodies: ambient music, spoken word pieces, electronic excursions and lyrics that break new ground in pop.

In his acoustic solo shows, Pascal Finkenauer impresses with sharp-edged observations, lyrics set to music and rebellious departure. With songs such as "Spinnen", "Scherben" or "Verrosteter Revolver", he creates music to break open, reflect and immerse yourself in.

In his current solo program, he also mixes songs here and there with his own poems and lyrics (reading with concert). In this way, Pascal Finkenauer creates an arc in images and themes about human longings, abysses, love and light.

Pascal Finkenauer spent his youth in Lüneburg, where he published music as a teenager. Back then, he was the singer and guitarist of the electro collective JAW, which was very successful in alternative and indie music circles, and the trash-punk duo THE BLACK CHERRIES. His charismatic voice is also known from the chorus of the Fettes Brot hit "An Tagen wie diesen", in whose live band, as a hip-hop career changer, he was a permanent guitarist and singer for years. Today the artist lives in Hamburg.

As a solo artist, he primarily releases music via his own label and publishes poetry on his poetry blog and through self-publishing. His latest album ZOO BLUE was released in March 2025. His first volume of poetry TECHNO is available again in a new edition. The publication of his new poetry collection OK TROPFEN is also planned for 2025.
