Pascale Feitner: etwas Geliehenes, etwas Blaues

In the organizer's words:

The rooms of galerie januar have existed for many years - now Pascale Feitner "borrows" their architectural forms. The focus is on the staircase in particular: a symbol of transitions, thresholds and connections between levels, spaces and states. The blue floor that has been characteristic of the gallery for years is also part of the newly developed installation. It is not only quoted, but spatially integrated and further developed. The result is a site-specific, fragmentary work that takes up existing elements, transforms them and places them in a new context. Feitner's installation sees itself as a sensitive play with architectural elements - a temporary structure of borrowing, shifting and reinterpretation.

Pascale Feitner studied with Maik and Dirk Löbbert in the class for sculpture and art in public space at the Kunstakademie Münster, most recently as a master student until 2024. She has been a mentee of the Kunstmentorat NRW of the Landesbüro für Bildende Kunst (LaB K) NRW since 2025. She lives and works in Münster.
