Cycling 2,200 km through Patagonia - one of the most fascinating landscapes on earth, characterized by wind, water, clouds and endless expanses. Ingolf Dietrich takes you on the first stage of his ten-volume cycle tour from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska. Experience the highlights of this extraordinary tour: from Bariloche in Argentina to Punta Arenas in Chile, along the legendary Ruta 40 and the Carretera Austral. The route leads through humid rainforests and dry pampas, past wild rivers and imposing glaciers - accompanied by moving encounters with interesting people and animals such as guanaco, nandu and condor.

Find out how Ingolf uses his journey to collect donations for the protection of the South American rainforest, how he overcame the enormous technical and physical challenges - and finally accompany him for four days on board the expedition ship Australis from Punta Arenas to the legendary Cape Horn, at the end of the world!
