With a brightly colored mix of keys, synths, cellos, guitars and two perfectly interwoven voices, Marlène Colle and Kristina Koropecki aka Paula Paula collect the spirits from the cold and heart-warming streets of Neukölln - and don't let them go any time soon. With their 2023 debut album "Schade kaputt", they became something like the new indie darlings of Berlin - and far beyond. "The best of punk with the best of chanson", DLF Kultur heard, "existentialism at the tipping point with a lot of humor and a sure eye for performative contradictions in everyday life", Andereas Borcholte spoke in Der Spiegel and Christian Ihle from the taz felt reminded of "the best moments of Judith Holofernes or even Regina Spektor".
