CPHD
With CPHD, Maika Küster forms an extraordinary line-up of close musical companions she met during her studies in Copenhagen. Together with Lone Aagot Meinich (violin), Ruhi-Deniz Erdogan (trumpet), Petter Asbjørnsen (double bass) and Benedikt ter Braak (piano), she unfolds a sonically multi-layered music between improvised poetry and structural clarity.
The content is about anger, sensuality, contradiction and empowerment Maika's voice, which is appreciated for its fine dynamics and emotional depth, is at the center of a music that creates closeness and opens up spaces for the common moment. The press speaks of "magical sounds", "fascinating versatility" and an ensemble that is as virtuosic as it is touching.

Emily Wittbrodt - Wearing Words
Emily Wittbrodt, a cellist with a passion for language, composed melodies that she filled with "blind text" words in order to preserve the form. After working on the melodies, she spent two weeks searching for suitable texts, dreaming of words at night and feeling like she was wearing borrowed clothes while writing. The project "Wearing Words" symbolizes this feeling and the danger of desensitization through language. Originally classically trained, Wittbrodt now loves pop and improvisation and works with versatile musicians, e.g. in the duo Ludwig Wittbrodt or with organist Annie Bloch. For her album, she engaged the singer Sandro Hähnel, whose fragile voice lends her music a baroque touch. Together with clarinet, accordion and harpsichord, she creates improvised, lively arrangements.

Lucy Liebe
Lucy Liebe is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer from Berlin. Having worked in the fields of jazz and beat music for a long time, she reinterprets these influences through a queer lens, creating a unique inner field of tension. As an artistically very versatile person, the sound of her solo project can best be described as alternative RnB, in which she deals intensively with topics such as queerness, transness and society, trauma and love.
