From the depths of tradition. And yet very present. Saadet sings in the languages of her ancestors, Kazakh and Turkish. And she sings in the languages of the imagination, with powerful powers of imagination. Improvisations give rise to songs in which all the suffering and all the joy, in which all the power of life is concentrated. Songs in times of global migration. In Nils Wogram's playing, the trombone becomes a voice, an onomatopoeic counterpart, a dialog partner to the singer. It is not the compulsive urge to innovate, but the emotional renewal from the spirit of tradition - that of jazz and European music as well as that of folkloristic tradition - that gives rise to something unheard of, something never heard before. Improvisers like Saadet Türköz and Nils Wogram are wanderers, working in changing contexts. The image of the journey means more here than the routes shown on maps.

The trio otherMother (consisting of Judith Schwarz, Arthur Fussy and Jul Dillier) aims to create a rhythmic symbiosis of sound. Acoustic and electronic sounds merge seamlessly into one another, creating percussive networks of impulses that draw their inspiration equally from experimental music and beat-based club music. With unconventional instrumentation, extended playing techniques and a free improvisational approach, they explore the boundaries of musical genres and are virtuosos at translating their own sound language into a wide variety of stage settings, concert formats and stylistic contexts
