Max Gerwien is coming to Memoires d'Indochine on Thursday, November 6, as part of the "Kultur im Quadrat" series. Gerwien's world is percussion instruments. The artist, who officially completed his Bachelor of Arts at the Popakademie in 2024 and is currently studying for his Master's degree, is now a household name in the percussion scene. Rhythm - he says - is in everyone's body.
With his range of instruments, he combines an examination of the cultures to which he gives voice and mood. For him, rhythm is a language of its own.
