How do things that are part of our everyday lives - plates, feathers, trays - move us? And how do we move them - and perhaps ourselves too? After intensive internships & research directly in Ahlen stores, Nezaket Ekici now invites you to three performances that have emerged from these encounters: living art - in the middle of the city!
11-12 a.m. | Porzellanhaus Josef Ostermann
A figure, all in white, turns like a music box - slowly, steadily, breathing. Painted porcelain plates are created during the circular movement: art in time with the rotation. Balance, control and devotion - and in the end, traces remain: color as memory.
12-13 h | Betten Gahrmann
What happens inside a bed? What remains hidden - and what carries us every night? Between feathers and fabric, the body itself becomes the material. An inhalation and exhalation of human and object: Where does the body end? Where does the shell begin?
1-4 p.m. | Restaurant Steinofen
Red carpet, full trays, heavy loads, fast processes: Ekici makes visible what we usually overlook in a restaurant - the precision and power behind every plate.
Total duration: approx. 2-3 hours
Meeting point: First stop (Porzellanhaus Josef Ostermann)
This performance is part of Stadtbesetzung, an initiative in cooperation with Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh.
