A different policy is possible if we learn from the cities, Peter Kurz, long-time mayor of Mannheim, is convinced of this. In cities and municipalities, where laws from Berlin collide with reality and are implemented, the major issues of climate change, education, migration, housing, mobility, health and the preservation of democracy take place. Peter Kurz shows what is important and how the necessary change can be given a chance.

Dr. Peter Kurz was Lord Mayor of the City of Mannheim from 2007 to 2023. After studying law, he first became a judge at the Administrative Court in Karlsruhe. As Mayor of Mannheim, he was a founding member of the Global Parliament of Mayors. In 2021, he was honored with the World Mayor International Award.
