Pilsken, Pöhlen and problems - a conversation about the silence of men about feelings in professional football
We sing in the stands, fight on the pitch and discuss afterwards over a pilsner. When it comes to our own club, we show our emotions loudly: joy, anger, sadness, euphoria. But when it comes to our private lives, it often becomes quiet. Men in particular, especially in a performance-driven environment such as professional soccer, often carry worries or psychological burdens around with them in silence.
In this event, we will shine a spotlight on this area of tension and want to find out why this is the case and what particular challenges men face in professional soccer. Our guests, who know what it feels like, who know the structures from the inside and who complement the scientific view from the outside, will speak personally, openly and without pointing fingers.
Come along, listen, ask questions and let's learn together that it's okay to show emotions not only for our club, but also for ourselves.
