THE WALL - The monumental milestone of the British prog rock band Pink Floyd. Released in 1979, it is the best-selling double LP of all time with more than 33 million copies sold! The Wall's live shows, which are always lavishly staged and performed worldwide, reached their spectacular climax in 1990, the year after the fall of the Berlin Wall, in front of more than 300,000 spectators and with the participation of numerous world stars. 1982 also saw the release of the film The Wall, directed by Gerald Scarfe and Alan Parker and starring Bob Geldof as Pink, the protagonist of The Wall's story.

In 26 songs, THE WALL tells the story of the young, successful musician Pink, who tries to hide behind an imaginary wall due to numerous traumatic life circumstances. In his madness, Pink is ultimately no longer in control of his emotions and accuses himself before a fictitious court. The judge condemns him to tear down his protective wall and finally face normal life again.

With their new production and adaptation of The Wall for theater, the Dutch musicians of the PINK FLOYD PROJECT have succeeded in presenting the story of The Wall in a completely new multivisual presentation and contemporary interpretation.

The director of the show, Aike Dirkzwager, has impressively demonstrated with his production how the band Pink Floyd Project builds a bridge to the present day with The Wall. Whether with current video images, such as those of the protests by young climate activists, or with provocative 3D animations, it always refers to the events of the time.

On stage, the charismatic singer Wim Holsappel, with his blond hair reminiscent of the English ex-prime minister Boris Johnson and his Donald Trump tie, is the perfect entertainer. He is musically supported by the two guitarists Henk Bennen and André Becker, whose fantastic solos are among the highlights of every show.
The musical realization of The Wall, the individual brilliance of the musicians, the quadrophonic sound, the video projections and, of course, the artistic staging by Aike Dirkzwager make the almost two-hour theater show an impressive and inspiring experience.

At their sold-out concerts in Holland, Belgium and Spain, which were enthusiastically acclaimed by audiences and the press, the band set a new standard with their innovative interpretation of The Wall, which clearly sets them apart from their English and Australian competitors.
2026 will be the year in which PINK FLOYD PROJECT will also conquer German audiences!
