PITCH!VAL

In the organizer's words:

We celebrate the first PITCH!VAL in Greifswald!

Pitchival 2026 - Pitch your thesis topic

On May 27, the first Pitchival will take place as part of the project week at the University of Greifswald. You will have the opportunity to present your topic for a Bachelor's, Master's or doctoral thesis in a short pitch.

Show us your idea, your research or your concept. The best pitches will be awarded non-cash and cash prizes.

Special evaluation criteria are practical relevance and relevance for the Western Pomerania region. Perhaps your topic deals with a regional challenge, an innovation or an idea with a local connection. A marketing strategy for a hotel on Usedom, the protection of moors or opportunities for start-ups in structurally weak regions? It is entirely up to you to convince the jury why exactly your topic is important.

Are you looking for contact with companies or want to find out whether your topic is also exciting in practice? Representatives from regional companies are also present at the Pitchival. This allows you to present your topic directly, get feedback and perhaps even make new contacts for your thesis.

With the Pitchival, we want to make student research visible and strengthen the exchange between the university and the region.

The Pitchival takes place as part of the ConnectUS project of the Welcome Center Region Greifswald. The project is funded by the European Social Fund ESF+ and aims to connect students and companies in the region.
