Open studios and workshops invite you to discover

Experience Hagen's art and creative scene up close: The "planet hagen" event on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, invites you to do just that. Interested visitors can discover 35 creative places in the city on Saturday from 12 noon to 6 p.m., 28 of the establishments will open their doors again on Sunday from 12 noon to 5 p.m.. A varied supporting program rounds off the weekend.

114 artists and creative people will be opening their studios, workshops and unusual places to provide personal insights into their work. Why do people make art and culture? What is created in Hagen? Visitors can get to the bottom of these questions at "planet hagen". The spectrum ranges from painting and photography to sculpture, design and performance, demonstrating the diversity and vibrancy of the local scene. Their works are as diverse as the people involved. In direct interaction with the artists, culture becomes tangible and alive and participants experience an exciting journey through the creative facets of Hagen.

Creative accompanying program encourages participation

Visitors can plan their tour individually or let themselves drift spontaneously from place to place and from idea to idea. This creates a unique approach to art, characterized by encounters, conversations and new perspectives. A diverse supporting program with concerts, readings, dance and hands-on activities also invites interested people of all ages to join in and experience.
