In the organizer's words:

We are a team of volunteers who have been organizing the Platzhirsch Festival in Duisburg for over 10 years. What drives us? The conviction that good culture should be accessible to everyone - which is why the Platzhirsch Festival is completely free of charge. For one weekend, we transform Dellplatz into a lively clearing for music, art, performance and surprising discoveries.

Focus on biodiversity

The Platzhirsch Festival is dedicated to the cultural and artistic diversity of Duisburg and beyond. We present local, national and international artists from a wide range of genres and create a platform for creative encounters. In doing so, we show: There is more going on in Duisburg than many people think.

Cultural contribution

The Platzhirsch Festival makes an important contribution to Duisburg's cultural life. We promote local talent, create spaces for encounters and prove that voluntary work can achieve great things.

Free for all

Free admission is part of our program. Culture should not fail because of your wallet. That's why we finance the festival through sponsors, donations (insert the link to the campaign here) and a lot of our own work - so that you only have to worry about coming and enjoying yourselves.
